College Horizons was recently awarded the National Association for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) Human Relations Award at its annual meeting in Tampa, Florida. This award is given to the organization or individual that "is instrumental in making postsecondary educational opportunities available to historically underrepresented students." See www.reelwisdom.com to view a short video on the programs.

Accepting the award were Whitney Laughlin for College Horizons and Jeannie Baca of our partner organization, the American Indian Graduate Center (AIGC). Dr. Laughlin asked everyone in the audience who had ever been a faculty member over the past 8 years to stand. It was great to see how many shared in our success. Over 85% of College Horizons alumni receive their bachelor's degrees within 5 years of graduation, an amazing statistic that would not be possible without the help and support of so many!

The NACAC has over 10,000 members.
