Reoccurring Nightmare
Escaping in the midnight hours
rushing through the wood
quickly moving while time devours
faster than we could
Looking for the light
to guide us as we run
each and every night
each and every one
Our feet are getting blistered
our lungs are getting sore
our hearts are beating faster
much faster than before
My eyes are feeling heavy
to heavy to be the guide
falling over stumps and trees
not knowing where to hide
