? What is Domestic Violence ?

Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors used by one person to control and maintain power over another person's actions and/or feelings.

Domestic Violence includes:

verbal abuse

emotional abuse

psychological abuse

sexual abuse

physical abuse

Domestic violence occurs among all ages, cultural, socio-economic classes, religions, educational and occupational groups.  Statistics show that between 85-95% of victims are females.  research also indicates that Native American women are victimized at a higher rate than any other group in the United States.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
